Westover’s rating received a few more points, thanks in part to the beer cart and the friendliness of the girls running the cart and the beer. Big improvements on the service end, but the course took a step backwards with the fairway conditions.

**Rating updated to include fairway conditions. Not sure how we missed that one, but who doesn’t love an improved rating!

OK, I updated the rating based on our day at the course on 6/10/2011. I’ve added 8 points to their totatl score, predominately based on two criteria…rangers on the course keeping pace of play going, and the expansion of the 19th hole to include an outdoor patio, more food options, and beer on tap. I think if we visit here again, and see that a couple of the greens have recovered from this past winter, this courses score could be in the 70′s. I continue to think, however, that the rate is a bit high, and feel there are better values to be had on the Cape.

I just played here a couplemweeks ago and the rating is mostly on par. I may make some adjustments as there was a ranger on the course and we saw him on more than one occassion. I also think they have beer on tap now, but need to confirm that.

I just want to add to my rating. This is a par-62 course that deserves a higher rating, but is held back due to budgets and the fact that it is tailored for the retirement community. It may not show up on any “must play” list, but it is a perfect course for it’s players.
