Course: Lexington Oaks Golf Club

Overall Rating: 70
Friendliness of Staff: 7
Very pleasant and willing to help out. Restaurant staff was very nice and friendly as well. The ranger was a nice enough guy but didn’t engage you proactively and didn’t move play along.
Facilities/Pro Shop: 8
Pro shop was okay but very small w/ very little selection of merchandise. Restaurant and bar were very nice and spacious w/ 3 HDTV’s. Locker room was also small but beautiful cabinets, granite countertops and very nicely decorated.
Quality/Value of Food/Snacks: 8
Hot dogs at the turn were delicious and beers were cheap. 4 Bud Lights only cost $10 which isn’t bad at all. Very affordable and the hot dogs were the big beef ones instead of small shriveled ones you might find on a lot of courses. They also had a great menu on the golf cart and you could order ahead and pick it up at the turn.
Fairway Conditions: 6
In most cases the fairways were bare and they made for very thin lies. Need some work but they’re not terrible.
Greens Conditions: 7
75 percent of the greens were beautiful and plush green, but the other 25 percent were patchy with a lot of divot marks. If they could get all their greens as nice as each other, it would be outstanding. The cups were also pretty damaged.
Scenery: 4
Nothing special at all. Plenty of water covering the course but every single hole had multiple houses lining the fairways. Way too over-populated and had to drive through people’s yards on several occasions to get to the next hole.
Difficulty of Course: 6
Very short yardage and only plays to 6,000 yards from the white tees. There is only one par-5 over 500 yards and there are no par-4’s over 400 yards. However, there is water on literally every single hole and the narrow fairways are the only challenging aspects of this course.
Value Received: 6
Decent enough course to play for $50. Beautiful facilities make it a better experience but nothing spectacular. Food value is better than the actual course.
Speed of Play/Design of Course: 5
It’s Florida so get ready to be stuck behind a lot of retirees just out there enjoying themselves w/ their husband or wife. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but it makes for a slow round and the ranger really doesn’t help things along. Surprisingly, once we got past a couple slow groups we still managed to finish in 4 hours for a two-some.
19th Hole: 8
Best part of the course! Nice bar with plenty of room and 3 nice HDTV’s. However, we ordered a couple beers at the turn and they only had 1 cold Bud Light left. How do you run out of cold Bud Light?
There is a beer cart on the course. +5
Comments:
Their facilities are the best part of the experience so if you only want to play golf you may want to look elsewhere. Decent place to play as a last resort and if you do, try their Hot Dogs!!.
